Monster Music at Governors Bay School

Kia ora, I'm Dan from Monster Music. We run in-school music lessons at a bunch of schools around Canterbury, and we've been thinking about whether we could start up at Governors Bay too.

Before we commit to anything though, we want to get a feel for how many families would actually be keen, and which instruments the kids are most into. That's all this form is for. It's not an enrolment, and there's no obligation on your end at all.

If there's enough interest, we'd look at making a start sometime in Term 3. Even if you're only a little bit curious, feel free to fill it out, it all helps us get a picture of where things are at.

What we actually do

Monster Music runs in-school lessons for around 2,000 kids across Canterbury. Lessons happen during the school day, so there's no extra running around after school for you.

Kids learn real songs from day one, and they earn karate-style wristbands as they level up, which they get pretty into. There are also concerts, school shows and busking days through the year, so they get plenty of chances to actually perform.

These are the lessons we run across Monster Music. We can't guarantee we'd offer all of them at Governors Bay, but knowing what your child is keen on helps us work out where the interest mainly lies.
